Our Cause
At The Shirley Greene Foundation, we believe that restoring confidence is just as important as supporting physical healing. Since 2015, our mission has been to provide free wigs to cancer patients and survivors who have experienced hair loss as a result of their treatment. Hair loss can be one of the most visible and emotionally difficult parts of a cancer journey, often affecting a person’s self-esteem, identity, and sense of normalcy. Our goal is to remind every recipient that they are beautiful, valued, and never alone.
Receiving a wig is about much more than replacing hair it is about restoring hope. For many cancer patients, a wig can provide the confidence to return to work, attend family gatherings, celebrate special milestones, or simply look in the mirror and recognize themselves again. It helps reduce the emotional burden of treatment and allows individuals to focus more on healing while facing each day with renewed strength and dignity.
